FORDUCKS FILMS presents A Sensation Novel

Writer/Director Robert Turnbull

Robert is a London based, freelance creative writer, researcher and production coordinator working in television and film production.

Robert studied media and performance at the University of Salford before moving to London to work on his career in film and television. In 1996 he formed Forducks Theatre Co. and produced several successful stage shows, touring pantomimes and street theatre productions.

 

From  2003 to 2009 Forducks, under Roberts creative direction, performed a WS Gilbert inspired show each year as part of The International G&S Festival fringe (including in their second year, a staging of A Sensation Novel).

Robert has worked on a verity of film and television productions, including:

  • Red Dwarf, Billy Elliot, Miranda, Live at the Apollo and The Last Leg as well as writing the original radio comedy short ‘First Contact?’ for Dark Smile Radio.

  • Robert was also part of the team on the multi award nominated documentary Jon Richardson: A Little Bit OCD.


It’s been an ambition of Robert’s to produce a filmed version of A Sensation Novel since he first directed it for the stage in 2004

Upcoming projects include the audio comedy series ‘Dragons & Taxicabs’ and the science-fantasy comedy "Kate's Never Seen Star Wars".
